Walther PPK Rig- Complete 1934 # 2016
If you seek a screamer PPK with all the trimmings in outstanding
condition then this is your gun. I searched for several years to find an
example such as this and everything about it is not only proper but it
is extremely minty and would easily rate 99%. It is complete with a mint
finger extension magazine and a spare magazine with the holster, so
both mags. The holster is a marked AKAH with the D.R.G.M marks w/crossed
cannons and interior flap shows the model as Walther P.P.K. The holster
shows a little more wear than the gun and that is what I wanted and
that is the way it should be, its still a very nice and supple example
with the premium markings.
The weapon was purchased for my
collection at the S.O.S several years ago from a small dealer who had
pulled the piece out of an estate and I purchased it on the spot. Slide
shows the slightest bit of holster wear to the left side on the high
points, the right side of frame is the same and the muzzle area shows
the slightest rub from the holster which is normal and what you want to
see. The safety lever is a beautiful full sapphire blue. Proofs are C/N
and the serial number puts the gun at between 1934/35 production at
799,xxx. The grips are cherry and do not have so much as a hairline
crack or fracture and wrap around the gun as tight as can be and have no
sign of warping or flaw, I do not believe they have ever been off the
gun nor will I pull them off. The finger extension mag is minty other
than the standard runners from being in and out of the well, the finger
rest is absolutely perfect and free from cracks or fractures as well,
its a perfect magazine and fits the gun condition like a glove. Interior
slide is matching to the gun but not taking it apart for that either at
this time.
The holster is a beauty with supple leather and no issues and shows normal rubs and would rate as minty, just not as minty as the gun. The standard mag is very nice and like the finger extension mag bears the Walther banner and is retained in the spare mag compartment in the holster. The model of pistol is marked to the interior flat as P.P.K and is DRGM marked along with the AKAH crossed cannons. I dont think this holster saw much use and will not disappoint.
While P.P.K pistols are not exactly rare, this one
took me a considerable amount of time to find in this condition and
unfarked with, should you seek a finer example not only would you be
hard pressed but you might as well take a Craigs List advertisement for
an ass hump as the odds are that's what you will get with such an
attempt in the minefield of firearms sales. Again this is my gun and I
am picky.
A couple small disclaimers here for review and
understanding. This weapon was purchased on my 03 license and for
myself. All firearms laws will be followed to the letter and this must
be shipped to either an 01 FFL or an 03 FFL in a state that recognizes
an 03 FFL. Restrictive states such as California and Jersey do not
recognize the 03's and 01 dealers may not take in or return weapons to
or from an 03 holder. In short, know your states laws and confirm with
your dealer if you are not licensed, that this gun can be received by
myself and returned to myself in line with inspection terms which is 3
days from receipt. Failure to do your homework means I keep your money
and you need to work it out. I will need a photo copy or electronic
license copy from you or your representative prior to shipping. Removal
of grips causing any damage, firing, or any damage to this weapon
whatsoever will negate returns. You will be pleased however.
A top shelf piece for the discriminating collector and if you have questions feel free to contact.
