A nice pre-war example of a Volkstedt Stag Beetle measuring about 3 inches long and 1 1/2 wide. These beetle pieces are neat items and finding one that is up to par with the quality that I look for is difficult no matter who the manufacture is.

Example is mint and the paint is dynamite and its really a stand out piece that would no doubt satisfy the most discriminating eye. Volkstedt, one of the oldest manufacturers of European porcelain made several notable pieces during the Third Reich and is in business to this day. If you enjoy offbeat pieces this is certainly a top shelf example worthy of owning.
