Schreibzeug/ Letter set # 439
Model #62 Schreibzeug
Franz Nagy
Production start??
Although these are listed in the 1938/39 production figures, there are none showing as produced for those years. There is also a discrepancy in data. But these were presentation pieces commissioned By Himmler himself and in very limited numbers. All indications are that the one pictured was manufactured after 1939.
This set would be the original Model #62 and would have been discontinued in 1941 as the model number is re-isssued to the Finnischer Bar in 1942. Which leaves optional years of 1937, 1940, and 1941 as production points.
**Archival documentation states that Himmler awarded one of these sets to Heinrich Lammers on Christmas 1944. It would appear that an additional order of 100 was made in late 1943, with 15 due by January 1st. 1944.
Himmler apparently had a storage area that had a supply of Allach gift pieces. The area was destroyed in a bombing raid and the pieces needed to be replaced. Gifts included "Der Fechter", various animals, including three models of the horse.
