Deutsches Polizei Postcard Series Of The Ordnungspolizei- Card 11 # 3315
This series is not all at all common and was derived from a folio by noted artist Knötel d. Junger. There were originally 13 drawings but 20 postcards. the additional cards added units of the Sipo, Teno, Feurwehr and continued the numbering system utilized for the first 13 cards. This is not a complete set and a few which I will note are filler copies and there are several. I will cut and paste a small blurb description below but any questions can be directed here.
Following the introduction of the folio of color prints of Ordnungspolizei uniforms introduced in December 1938, the RFSS and Chef d. Dt. Polizei authorized in the following month the production of a series of postcards based on the thirteen color prints in the uniform folio. In addition to the reproduction of the thirteen drawings in the folio, an additional seven were produced by the original artist Knötel d. Junger. These additional seven introduced uniforms of the Feuerwehr, the Teno and the Sicherheitspolizei. The last seven are the most sought after of the series and are seldom found. This postcard series was offered through the national police officers association, as well as units of the Teno, the Freiwillige Feuerwehr and the Sicherheitspolizei.
