Allach Porcelain Boxed Julleuchter Complete with Candles # 3431
For consideration is a complete Julleuchter in its factory box with both upper and lower candles, the upper in its own original box and in itself one of the most difficult pieces to find in the entire hobby, they don's exist other than a few examples.
PMA's highest number in #'s in production are the Julleuchter, not due to its beauty or commercial appeal but due to cultural application and they were directly intended for use for the SS man and the SS family. The premise was to establish or re-establish the pre-christian rituals in place prior to the acceptance and legalization of Christianity by Constantine in the mid 1300's. Like most things involving the SS its never really an easy explanation, but what you essentially have is a guide of how the SS man and his family should live and how to go about life and the incorporation of ritual pieces and practices. The SS Family Guide, written by Fritz Weitzel maintains that the Julleuchter is central in those practices and to the Solstice.
The set here consists of a boxed Julleuchter and contains two original candles, the rare upper candle in an original box and an even more rare lower candle to be burned in the last hour of the year. Both are manufactured of bees wax and are 100% proper, a very rare set to find. In the early days these were presented and even made it onto the the SS Dienstliste in the form of an award. It was presented in most cases with a document that explained its use and intent. The translation of which I will put below.
"To my SS comrades, I give you this Jul-leuchter. It is reproduced after after an old example from the early past of our people. Its light should burn in the night of the turn of the year, which after our present tradition, is the night from December 31st to the 1st of January. The small candle, that is inside the candleholder, may burn as a symbol the last hour of the past year. The large candle may flare up in the first moment when the new year starts walking. There is a deep wisdom in the old tradition. Might each SS man see extinguish the small flame of the old year with pure, clean heartland ignite the flame of the New Years light with raised will. This I wish you and your clan today and into the future. Heil Hitler! H. Himmler"
With the planned expansion east and with conquered territories the SS man and his member SS wife would both serve the reich for 1000 years. The SS man as Soldat/Bauer and his wife as a Bauerin. A quick reference to the translation of the Himmler letter as well and how he uses the term "Clan". The reference to the SS in many cases is as a cult, their not a cult, they are a clan. Might as well know what your buying. Its a rare set and with these types of items the buyer/collector will most likely know the ins and outs for the most part, it is for that reason that any interested parties are encouraged to contact with any questions they may have so this does not end up as the longest sale description known to mankind.
