Der Sieger- Rosenthal # 829
Dating to 1936 and standing at over 20 inches is the Rosenthal Der
Sieger by Obermaier. Well known for his stone like figures Obermaier was
a key contributer to Rosenthal and Allach during the Third Reich.
While Obermaier did go on to design many standard pieces, his most notable designs are these Stone like figures that fit in quite well with the ideology of the period and even to this day. This example from Rosenthal is not often encountered and is quite large. In hand these pieces look as though they were made of stone and are desirable items for many porcelain collectors who wish to accent their military collection or just enjoy the porcelain itself.
