Boxed Nuremberg Table Medal- Bronze # 2115
Original bronze 1929 Nuremberg table medal in an original period box.
Manufactured by the firm of Hoffstatter these table medals came in
bronze and silver grade that I am sure about and the original boxes are
extremely rare.
This originated in Germany and has been in a collection as long as I can remember. It does have a little extra in the form of what is believed to be a lock of a child's hair...blonde of course. The hair has been discussed over the years and apparently a lock of hair from a child lost is often stored in a place of importance, I do not know for sure the answer but an attempt was made to figure it out.
Overall it is a really cool piece as it sits. I realize that most guys have never seen a real box and what you see in the market is most always reproduction and sucker priced, this is probably the 2nd example I have had and I think I know of one other that is boxed. Its safe to say they are not common in the least bit, and you will never find one with creepy Aryan hair.
