Allach Vase #500- Rare Color Pre-War # 1992
As a rule of thumb I do not buy common pieces most often, inclusive
of Allach and tend to like oddballs. This piece is a total screamer and
to someone who does not know Allach may look expensive, its not. First
thing to note with these vases is that this model is fairly common but
still commands fairly good numbers in the market. It is a large piece at
apprx. 15 inches and it is stone mint. but this one is not common.
Most
often found in white or painted in maroon with pre-war gold accents
(rarer) or the more common maroon with war-time mustard paint highlights
(common). This piece is the only one like it that I have seen
personally, and its a pre-war example with the nice gold highlights but a
special color that is like a sea green/ blue that is quite frankly a
show stopper. Gorgeous piece for someone who appreciates the occasional
curve ball.
