Adolf Hitler Owned 1935 Nurnburg Table Medal in Gold ( Frau Winter Estate ) # 3052
Adolf Hitler was a lot of things, to his secretary's and his house keeper he was by all accounts both kind and generous, Frau Winter was of course no different. Winter who cared for Hitler's Munich apartment and took care of various personal errands was a close member of his private circle and a friend of Eva Braun, she is referenced in many places and historical reference. In 1952 the Bavarian state moved to seize the gifts of Frau Winter and others and a court battle ensued until it was settled in 1954 at which time the items were all returned to their rightful owners.
The sale of items started and upon the death of Frau Winter in 1970 the balance of items went to auction in Germany and took place in 1971 at Graf Klenau in Munich. The lot depicted here was purchased at the auction and was later submitted for a second auction here in the U.S in 1977 and this explains all the paperwork involved with the lot and its chain of custody from that time till now as I write the description. All the paperwork is included with the lot.
The medal is a Richard Klein Nuremberg Party table medal that was reportedly submitted to Adolf Hitler for approval prior to the event. It was maintained and rescued from the Braun Haus by Anne Winter in 1945 and remained in her possession for many years after the war. It is a gold example and anyone who has seen these will know just how nice they are on their own merits let alone with lineage to Adolf Hitler. It has been encased at some point in a protective coin holder and is now available for consideration. A very nice piece and if any questions feel free to contact.
