Breker pieces are just so few and far between for the Reich era and the busts rarely come to market. Breker was of course the premier artist for the party and his works are well known to most everyone.

This example is probably the rarest Fuhrer bust by artist that can be had. And because Breker was doing these monster projects under the N.S.D.A.P there were really no small projects on a commercial level and I doubt this was commercial either. The importance or emphasis placed on the arts during the 3rd Reich is just monumental and here you have a work by the guy who was responsible for the most important, it is not at all common to find and when they do show up they command strong market prices.

I have links in my link pages for Breker and he can be found more easily than any other artist so no real need to go to far with this piece other than to say finding one is almost impossible. This one measures 16 3/4 for the bust and has an overall height of 22 inches. Signed and dated for 1937 with the proper foundry mark. This would be the grail for an enthusiast of these pieces.
