National Socialist Propaganda Poster 1938 # 876
While there was certainly no shortage of propaganda pieces in the Third
Reich and they can be had just about everywhere, this particular example
fell into the hands of someone who knew what he was doing and went
ahead and properly framed it.
These quotations can be found in many period books and on plaques as well as posters and can contain quotes from a multitude of personalities including Hitler, Goring, Goebbels, etc. The quote in this case being typical Adolf Hitler and a very clean example and dates from September 11, 1938. From Gau Dusseldorf the translation in rough terms until I double check it reads:
Wer leben will, der kampfe also, und wer nicht streiten will in dieser Welt des ewigen Kingens, verdient das Leben nicht. Adolf Hitler. Who is alive who does not remember our struggle and who would disagree in this world that it has not been worth it?
And printed at bottom with "Herausgegeben vom Gaupropagandaamt der NSDAP, Gau Dusseldorf, September 1938" (return to the District Propaganda Office of the Nazi Party).
