Hitler's 50Th birthday on 4.20.39 was a gala event within Germany with parties and events and of course with war still six months away, a feeling among the people of Germany of new found strength and hope for the future of the German State.

Photographs, postcards, posters, presentations, and all sorts items geared to this event are noted. Many period post cards were taken from posters of the era, and this is no exception. Photographed here is a poster commemorating the Birthday and listing all of his achievements up till that time along with a matching postcard dated to the day of his birthday. 

While posters are very collectible and can be found in German language and the language of occupied territories, the survival rate due to the war leaves few original pieces and demand that far exceeds supply. An interesting survivor and the only one that I have seen.
