Nymphenburg Blackbird (Amsel) # 713
Originally sculpted by Prof. Karner, this Blackbird was decorated and painted by Ludwig Carl Frenzel. Birds have always been the subjects of great works of porcelain in Germany. The Blackbird has been manufactured by a multitude of manufactures including Allach porcelain.
This piece dates to 1914 putting it in the ranks of the finest examples to be found, these are very popular and make for nice display no matter where you place them.
