SS Calendar 1939 # 762
The SS culture and way of life were presented in every way imaginable during the period. Special periodicals, guides, books, and items geared for men of the SS alone were everywhere. Some pieces and literature are very rare and many were presented as well. When a special one appears and is studied there is always something new to be found.
Here is a 1939 SS Yearly calendar, and the first I have had the chance to observe. Its format is over 100 double sided pages with over 100 photo's of SS life both at home and in the military. To the rear are both a hanging apparatus for the wall, or if one chose a pull out stand to place the calendar on his desk. Between the parchment cover and the backing is a treasure trove of photo's, pull out postcards, pull out parchment writings by Hitler, as well as poems and writings by top figures of the 3rd Reich. I am amazed that such a thing survived intact and in such condition.
Some examples of personalities involved in these following photo's include Daleuege, Rosenberg, Himmler, Heydrich, Goring, Hess, Hitler, Lutze, Ley, Bormann, Pohl, Diebitsch, and many others.
