Rosenthal Horse (Theodore Karner ) # 748
Designed by Prof. Karner in 1934, and bearing the model #1524 the large "
Rampant Horse" is one of his best and most popular figures. Copied by
other artists and porcelain firms, the Karner pieces always stand out
from the crowd. This particular piece is a great example of his work and
design. Three short years after this design model # 74 would makes its
appearance at the Allach porcelain factory with some design changes. It
would be a flagship piece and grace the cover of the 1938/39 Allach
porcelain catalog.
