White glaze and cobalt blue porcelain with sections of matte and polished gilding, the dedication inscription likewise in gold. Two-part construction, the foot screw connected. Sword markings in underglaze blue at the base. Height: 48 cm. In an excellent state of preservation, the gilding partially faded.
Included are four victory medals from the tournament issued in gilt bronze. Obverse Olympic Bell with inscription saying: Reich Customs Dogs Tournament in the Year of the Olympic Games 1936. Reverse six portraits of participant dog breeds and the producer's signature "BM". Diameter: 70 mm. Together with a bronze plaque of the Austrian Cynology League (50 mm) on a velvet-covered, framed plate.
After the Olympic Summer Games the sports venues were used for numerous competitions and tournaments. For the best out of 2.25 million customs dogs in Germany (total labor value in 1938 more than 70 million Reichsmarks) the Reichsverband für das Deutsche Hundewesen (RDH) organized the tournament under Hitler's sponsorship.
