Schwarzburger Adler mit Beute ( Eagle W/ Prey) # 714
Designed by Anton Puchegger approx: 1913. The Adler is one of the
most modeled pieces to be found in Germany, some of these figures are
far superior to others. This one is no doubt top notch and captures this
symbol of beauty with its prey, in this case a rabbit. The position of
the head and the use of color makes him special when compared to many
examples. A great piece that stares you down.
You will see
many of these Eagle's posted here over time. And they are no doubt held
in high regards by collectors regardless of the era. This one is all
business.
