The survival rate of pieces such as this must be very low. Upon inspection this particular piece is not only very large, but a true marvel. As mentioned in notes added to model# 128, Himmler seems to have had a liking for these bird groups and correspondence from Allach to his staff reference is made to two separate large bird groups being produced for Himmler. #128 and the "Elster" or "Magpie". Either the Magpie that is mentioned is another model, or this is actually a Magpie.
