Model #128 Eichelhaher / Jay Allach # 513
In the same archival documentation that references orders for Himmler
and model #62, mention is made of a" Acorn Jay" or " Eichelhäher" and
a model referred to as "Elster" or "Magpie" that were being
manufactured for Himmler. It was listed on a March 1944 letter to
Himmler's Personal Staff with large pieces they were making for Himmler
like the jumping horse, the bellowing stag, and the shepherd dog.
These
are very large bird figures and of very complicated manufacture, I am
uncertain if model #129 which is referenced as "Kolkrabe" or "Raven"
might actually be a Magpie. Or because we are missing so many figures at
this point of production, another large bird group?.
Eichelhaher / Jay
Rohring
Production 1941/42
