I have never seen this type of plaque before and kind of unique. Measures approx 11x9 Inches and has original board backing with proper wall mount. In the center is a rippled tin frame surrounding the center plaque which is made of iron with an applied bronze patina. I would assume this is a prewar piece maybe but a solid example and of higher quality than many. It did have a presentation plate at one time but it is gone to time.

Piece is artist signed by Peter Lipp, Lipp was the cheif artist at the Gleiwitz iron art foundry. Born in 1902 Lipp was a well known modeler and sculptor who studied at the National Art School in Berlin.

Nice piece for the Luftwaffe/Goring collector and of good size and quality.
