German Scientific Research Service/ I mean-Meat Inspector # 1487
I received an e-mail from a well known and highly respected author or
soon to be author on party badges and enamel explaining to me that this
pin has nothing to do with science at all. I cannot dispute this as I
was too lazy to look it up when it came in and just stole the
description from another dealer who was obviously clueless. Cant steal
from anyone these days and getting ridiculous.
This is
actually a stickpin for Nazi meat inspectors, yes you read that
correctly. This one was taken off a large fat Nazi who spent his days
rolling around in a top down Mercedes inspecting Bratwurst and Schnitzle
(sic) and chasing them down with ice cold beer. No doubt a state union
member with political aspirations and probably mean looking with a
swastika armband and a scar on his face. I know this as that's the story
I made up about it, and he may have been a camp guard as well.
Be
the first kid on the block to have one of these! and thank you to my
friend and enamel god Jo Rivett for clearing this up. ;o)
