N.S.D.A.P 4X4 Frankfurt A/M # 3039
If you like something a little different and of higher quality for your display pieces, this may do the trick. Measuring 37 x 44 without the fringe this is a standard for the middle school in the city Wappen and Neiderrad at Frankfurt am Main. The banner bears the coat of arms on one side for the city location and the construction shows several different styles and makes this piece stand out when compared to other examples. The swastika is surrounded by a green wreath manufactured of added cotton cloth and the leaf center and edges are accent stitched and makes them pop. In addition, stitched acorn stems protrude from the wreath leading to acorns that are done in an embroidery normally seen and in a style of what you would find on Imperial standards, top shelf work here. To top things off the banners bearing the Niederrad middle school and the Frankfurt am Main are done in a chain stitch and another nice trait that adds to the appearance and quality of the piece.
This is a very nice banner that is a step above the norm and was done by someone who had some skill and a variety of them. The condition is fairly typical with some age and one minor hold that is shown, not brand new but a little character. Two remaining ties are in place and it would be very to add a couple without interfering with the integrity of the banner. All in all a very nice piece looking for a home.
