Deutschland Erwacht Lapel Pin # 1935
Early Deutschland Erwacht lapel pin that is featured in Lord Rivett's
party badge book on pages 222-223. Rivett dates the pieces form
1931-1933 and refers to the piece as a "Tinnie". I do not believe it is a
tinnie personally and equate it with and on par with Jewelry.
The
jewelry opinion is based on the fact that the exact style can be found
in several forms of jewelry, specifically I do own a pair of matching
cufflinks that were obtained directly by another collector from a
veteran source in a fitted box, the box once contained a matching tie
bar which was missing, however I have seen the tie bar as well. So, at
the risk of having Jo in my mailbox about the word "Tinnie" I digress
and believe this should fall in the category of patriotic jewelery.
