Allach manufactured a good amount of plaques and awards for various organizations and events, many of these awards are manufactured of Terra Cotta and these are quite soft in comparison to their porcelain counterparts.

For this reason, finding these awards without a chip or repair is tough, finding one like this is not common as its perfect. Not only is the piece perfect, but the box is one of the best conditioned examples I have seen, being totally intact and with the exception of of lift of the paper on the right rear top it would rate as mint. 

The award reads "Dem Sieger Sommer-Sonnenwendwttkampfe 1938" and would translate to The winner in summer sun turning matches 1938. These were awarded to recipients for sporting events that took place during the celebration of the summer solstice.

Interior retains the alternating colored rope border as well as the original form fitted insert, and the original satin pull release for the medal. 

I have seen these particular medals with and without the Allach marking, why this is I have no clue, this one is however marked to the exterior rim of the medal with the impressed intersecting runes of the firm Allach.
