Purchased by the city of Munich as a gift for visiting dignitaries, the Jesters were manufactured for the five years of 1939-1943. Approx. 600 per year were manufactured and these are Forster pieces. Many of the later catalog figures by Richard Forster step back centuries for inspiration and are some of the finest manufactured by the firm of Allach.
